Isabella Rossellini’s award-winning Sundance films address all kinds of wonderful topics. This one asks “How did Noah do it?” On an ark designed for “two-by-two” / “one male, one female,” what did Noah do with the hermaphroditic animals, the transsexual animals, or the animals who reproduce by parthenogenesis?
This, in my opinion, is another lovely example of how the Bible’s simple explanation of the world and nature’s actual complexity are at odds.
