I love this picture. One of San Francisco’s unheralded benefits is, as an architect would say, it’s a very flat city. Aside from the sky scrapers in the Financial District and Nob Hill, most every building is three stories or less, most of which were originally built as single-family homes. SF has always been colorful but this particular hillside takes the cake, IMHO.
